Of all my magical travel memories - one that pawticularly stands out is when I became the Mountain King in spectacular style.
We were hoping to camp in the Sierras de Cazorla in Andalucia - Spain’s largest national pawtected park and the second largest in Europe which stretches over 2,000 kilometres.
Our disapawntment at closed campsites soon vanished when we found a spa hotel (I stayed in our motorhome) and we did an enormous walk up the hills and mountains.
What an adventure! - I was in my element - we saw a roebuck, deer, birds and I heard and smelt lots of rabbits, foxes and squirrels. The park also has 35 plant species that cannot be found elsewhere in the world - so lots of sniffing to be done.
My pawrents said there was also wild boar lurking but I felt fearless as I bestrode the epawmous mountain and pretended I ruled the valley below.
Four hours later I was pooped as we headed back down. And, if I’m paw-fectly honest, quite annoyed they wanted me to pose for more photos (give me a break guys!) after all that explawing!!
I had the most amazing dream that night as I recreated my short reign as Mountain King one the most pawfect day of my life so far!
